OSP releases felony drug arrest stats

LIMA — The Ohio State Highway Patrol released a report Thursday on felony and felony drug arrest numbers for January to June.

According to the report, officers have made 8,399 total drug arrests during the first six months of 2017, which is a 12 percent increase from the same time in 2016. Of those drug arrests, 2,387 became drug felony charges.

Of those 2,387 felony drug charges, 30 charges were filed in Allen County, two in Putnam County, 13 in Auglaize County and 11 in Van Wert County.
