LIMA — The Allen County Museum is hosting a living history day from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at the Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St., Lima. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Participants will view open hearth cooking in the log house; re-enactors representing soldiers from the 19th century; Bear Claw Jeb and his Native American artifacts; craft demonstrations such as spinning, woodcarving and quilting; Master Gardeners use of herbs in pioneer America; free admission and open house in the Victorian mansion, the MacDonnell House.

At 2 p.m. a program by Mark Holbrook will be presented in the Folsom Auditorium of the museum, “Mathew Brady: Mr. Lincoln’s Camera Man.”
