LIMA — Students living in one of six counties in Indiana are now able able to pay in-state tuition to attend Ohio State-Lima versus out-of-state tuition.
Thanks to a new Tuition Reciprocity Agreement, students from Indiana and living in Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Jay, Steuben and Wells counties may attend Ohio State-Lima and pay what those students living in Ohio pay.
The in-state tuition rate for Ohio State-Lima is $7,140 per year. This relates to a savings of more than $18,000 compared to the previous out-of-state rate of $25,332. Recently, Ohio State-Lima expanded its recruitment territory to include students living in bordering Indiana counties. This agreement is the first time these students will be eligible for in-state tuition.
“This will be a tremendous cost savings for these students and provide them with multiple pathways to an Ohio State degree,” said Bryan Albright, interim assistant dean at Ohio State-Lima.
Ohio State-Lima encompasses a 564-acre facility that includes the campus, wetlands, forest, prairie and farmland. Ohio State-Lima has more than 30 clubs and a variety of athletic and arts activities for students to participate in. A new Student Life building is under construction and will open in the fall of 2018.
