LIMA — A break in a water main line caused businesses and residents on Elida and Diller roads to go without water for a short time Monday, with another shut down possible as crews work to fix the problem.
The break occurred at about 11 a.m. on a water line near the Gordon Food Service Store on Elida Road. The water was turned back on a short time after the break occurred. As of 12:30 p.m., crews remained on site as they worked to fix the line.
Larry Huber, utility field services manager for the city of Lima, said crews will begin digging into the ground near where the break occurred. Once workers start to make repairs, Huber said it is possible that the water line could be shut off again.
Huber said he was unsure how long it would take to fix the line.
