Lima police seek 2 men involved in home invasion

LIMA — Lima Police Department officers were searching for a pair of unknown men who committed a home invasion Sunday afternoon.

At about 2:20 p.m., two unknown black men in their late teens or early 20s forced their way into a residence at 1118 Bikini Drive. Several people who were occupying the residence were robbed at gunpoint by the unknown men, said Detective Steve Stechschulte of the Lima Police Department.

No one was injured during the alleged robbery.

After committing the robbery, the men stole a car from one of the residents, drove for a short distance and then fled on foot.

Stechschulte said police officers were cultivating potential leads, reviewing video footage and speaking to witnesses, but no arrests had been made late Sunday. He would not release the names of the victims or potential suspects.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to contact Stechschulte at 419-221-5181.
