WAPAKONETA — A motion hearing for former band instructor at Wapakoneta schools accused of sex charges was rescheduled Tuesday to July 21.

The hearing for Broc Hottle is scheduled in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court. Pending motions will be considered at the time.

Hottle, 27, is charged with 34 counts of sexual battery from incidents that took place between 2012 and 2013. He was the show choir band director during the 2008 to 2010 and 2011 to 2012 school years. He was employed by the district’s band boosters as an independent contractor until the district terminated him in March 2016.

Hottle also served as a percussion instructor for the marching band since 2008 and had worked with the district’s indoor drumline since 2009.

Officials have not said whether the charges are related to any students at Wapakoneta schools.
