OTTAWA — Two more Putnam County Sheriff’s Office employees have been placed on administrative leave, one of whom is under investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Putnam County Corrections Officer Zeb Dulle was placed on administrative leave March 22. Sheriff Brian Seifker confirmed Dulle’s leave was for telecommunications harassment. No further details were available while the case is under investigation.
Deputy Anthony Recker was placed on paid administrative leave May 4 for unauthorized use of computer, cable or telecommunications property of the Sheriff’s Office. Recker requested vacation time and his request was approved. While on leave his pay will come from his vacation time until it runs out.
Jill Delgreco, with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, said a Putnam County deputy is under investigation by BCI for unauthorized use of a law enforcement database.
During administrative leave Dulle and Recker were required to surrender all Putnam County Sheriff’s Office equipment, relinquish all passwords for computers, emails, and phones, must remain available for questioning, and can not enter county property without express permission to do so.
These investigations are separate matters from the investigation into Deputy Jared West and Corrections Officer Gina Meyers, who were placed on administrative leave last month for alleged sexual misconduct while on duty. The West and Meyers investigations were still ongoing.
A total of four Putnam County Sheriff’s Office employees have been placed on administrative leave since Sheriff Brian Seifker was sworn into office five months ago.
