LIMA — Police were searching for two people they believe are connected with a crash involving a motorcycle Sunday morning that left a Lima man dead.

Lima Police Department investigators want to question Catherine Wilson, 26, the owner of the Dodge Stratus they have linked to the crash. Robert D. Catlett III, 31, is listed as “a person of interest” but Lima Police Sgt. Paula Strickler would not say he is a suspect. She said he is known to be associated with the car.

The crash at 12:19 a.m. Sunday killed 27-year-old Aaron Ehrnsberger. Ehrnsberger was riding his motorcycle west on Allentown Road near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue when an eastbound car turned in front of him, police officials said.

Ehrnsberger was taken to the hospital where he died about eight hours later.

Investigators said they believe Wilson and Catlett may have fled the area but hope to locate them and speak with them. Anyone who knows how to locate Wilson or Catlett, or who may have information on the crash was asked to call the Lima Police Department at 419-221-5264.

Officers collected debris at the crash scene they later matched to the Dodge Stratus, which they found Tuesday in the 400 block of East McKibben Street, investigators said.

Catlett has lived at 435 E. McKibben St. in the past, according to court records.
