Siren’s Curse coaster coming to Cedar Point

DETROIT — Coming next year, the new roller coaster at Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio looks like a wild ride.

Named Siren’s Curse, it’s being touted as the tallest, longest and fasted “tilt coaster” in North America. The two-minute ride reaches speeds of nearly 60 mph and stretches 160 feet into the air.

Siren’s Curse will open at Cedar Point in 2025.

What makes this thrill ride look the most terrifying is the section of the track at the highest point that seems to break off and tilt into a 90-degree vertical position before plunging riders straight downward.

Coaster fanatics can find the Siren’s Curse in 2025 across from the Iron Dragon near the Cedar Point Marina off Lake Erie. Cedar Point, located in Sandusky, Ohio, is currently open Thursdays through Sundays through October for Halloweekends (plus Nov. 1-2). It reopens for the 2025 season in the spring.

Owned and operated by Six Flags, Cedar Point is a 364-acre park that opened in 1870 and is considered one of the oldest operating amusement parks in the United States. Visit cedarpoint.com for ticket prices and other details.
