YOUNGSTOWN — Premier Bank is joining the American Bankers Association and banks across the nation to promote #BanksNeverAskThat, an industry-wide campaign educating consumers about the persistent threat of phishing scams.
The Federal Trade Commission estimates that consumers lost $10 billion to phishing and other fraud in 2023, an increase of 13.6 percent compared to 2022.
“Education and awareness are key to helping our clients spot a scam,” said Tina Shaver, executive vice president, and chief risk officer.
