New Bremen’s Lucas named business scholar at OWU

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen’s Katie Lucas was named a Corns Business and Entrepreneurial Scholar for 2023 by Ohio Wesleyan University’s Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship, according to a release from the university.

This scholarship, which includes $5,000 during both the scholar’s junior and senior years, is open to sophomores who, along with strong academic performance, show leadership in a campus setting as well as with community service organizations.

Corns Scholars also take specific courses to boost their business and entrepreneurial skills and have access to internships that bring that knowledge from the classroom into real-world business environments. They are able to interact with leaders in business and compete in business plan competitions.
