LIMA — Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center was named to Newsweek’s world’s best hospitals list for 2023. The Lima hospital ranked No. 402 out of the 420 U.S.-based hospitals to make the list. The magazine ranked at least 2,300 hospitals in 28 countries based on patient questionnaires and other hospital quality metrics, like infection control measures.

“For more than 100 years, our team has been committed to not only providing high-quality, compassionate patient experience, but also improving the health of our community as well,” Mercy Health-Lima market President Ronda Lehman said in a press release Monday.

“This recognition is a true testament to the incredible work of our people – the providers, nurses, and associates – who answer the call to live out our mission to provide good help to those in need each and every day.”
