Vantage students qualify for state competition

VAN WERT — Vantage health information management, health technology and sports exercise therapy students will be taking their skills to the State HOSA – Future Health Occupations competition held in Columbus Ohio.

These Vantage students competed at the regional competition held at the University of Toledo and brought home some major wins.

Taking first place on the podium was, Healey Frazier (Crestview), medical math and the HOSA Bowl team consisting of Hailey Kimmel (Jefferson), Lily Price (Lincolnview), Leigha Bendele (Lincolnview), and Autumn Zuber (Antwerp).

Taking second in their categories were, Hailey Dickson (Crestview), job seeking skills and Juliana McClure (Van Wert), medical law & ethics. Third place went to Dominique Hammond (Continental), medical math and Ariel Landwehr (Wayne Trace), prepared speaking.

Lastly, taking fourth on the podium was Lily Burch (Crestview), prepared speaking, Madelyn O’Donnell (Antwerp), nutrition, Adrianne Pease (Antwerp), medical spelling, Madison Ricker (Jennings), nurse assisting and the health education team, Kaitlyn Rager (Antwerp), Mackenzie Blankenship (Wayne Trace), and Kristin McDonald (Wayne Trace).
