Star Gazing at Schoonover

7 p.m. Friday

Enjoy the wonders of the night sky at Schoonover Observatory, 670 N. Jefferson St., Lima, as the observatory will be open for public viewing the first Friday of each month through April. After a short business meeting at 7 p.m., the telescope will be available for public star gazing. Anyone with a telescope is welcome to bring it to the observatory and Lima Astronomical Society members will be on hand to help with their operation and to answer any questions. Winter Walk at Haver Ridge Metro Park

9 to 11 a.m. Saturday

The Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District will offer Winter Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday at Haver Ridge Metro park at 8335 Bellefontaine Road in Harrod. Be prepared for weather and ground conditions during the winter nature hike on the approximately one-mile moderate trail. Register by Friday by going to https://bit.ly/3kW9z6i.

WAR Wrestling Presents ‘Love Hurts’

7 p.m. Saturday

WAR Wrestling will hold “Love Hurts” starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at Empowered Sports Center, 1730 N. Union St., Lima. VIP doors open at 5:30 p.m., with general admission doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $18 for VIP and $8 general admission. Black History Display

Noon Sunday

Learn more about history during Black History Month at the 2023 Black History Display at St. Paul AME Church, 1103 W. Spring St., Lima. The display will open at noon after morning services.

Life Sized Candy Land

4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday

You have played the iconic board game at home. Now become a part of the game at a life-sized Candy Land from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Delphos Public Library, 309 W. Second St., Delphos. This program is aimed at preschool and early elementary aged children. No registration is required and participants can come any time during the hour, as staggered start times allow participants to go through the game more easily.
