Auto Medic to repair veterans’ cars

LIMA — Auto Medic of Ohio is looking for veterans with cars that need repaired. Five cars will be selected for repair. Applications are available to veterans living in Allen County with honorable discharges; National Guard and Reserve veterans are also eligible.

Application deadline is Nov. 21. The short application will narrow the winners to 10, which will be announced at the beginning of December. The goal is to fix up to five cars before the new year.

Donations will be accepted at Kenny’s Auto Kare, Kenny’s Auto Wrecking and Auto Medic of Ohio at 1390 Findlay Road, with other locations to be announced.

Remaining proceeds will be donated to the Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio.

Kenny’s and AutoZone are helping with parts, Able Towing will be providing towing, and Black & White Cab Co. will be providing transportation to and from the shop as necessary.
