Women in Business: “Inspiring Others”

Women in Business will hold their quarterly meeting starting at Thursday, Sept. 1 at the third-floor ballroom of The City Club, 144 S. Main St., Lima. This quarter’s topic will be “Inspiring others while pursuing a passion, often without even realizing it.” The speaker will be the 2022 Athena Award Recipient, Sally Windle, executive director of ArtSpace/Lima. Sixth Annual Cursive Ohio Charity Ride

7 a.m. Saturday

Seek and Identify Nature

Become an expert at identifying plants and animals using the mobile phone app “iNaturalist,” when Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park experts will help you explore the outdoors using it at Haver Ridge Metro Park, 8335 Bellefontaine Road, Harrod. Be prepared for weather and ground conditions and bring a fully-charged phone or tablet. This event is aimed at students in high school and up and adults. Musical performance by Bryan Bielanski

Bryan Bielanski, a singer/songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina, has performed nationally and abroad. He will be performing live at The Lab (behind the Legacy Arts Building), 230 N. Nature’s Nursery Wildlife Populations, Habitats

The education director of Nature’s Nursery, Jamie Forbush, will bring a live animal and discuss their mission “to improve the well-being of Northwest Ohio wildlife populations and habitats through public education and rehabilitation with an emphasis on coexistence” from 7:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 at The Ohio State University-Lima Visitor/Student Center, 3900 Campus Drive, Lima.
