LIMA —The Lima NAACP recently awarded seven high school graduates from Lima Senior, Lima Central Catholic, Perry, Bath, Elida, and Shawnee $500 scholarships, totaling thirty-five hundred dollars.
Speakers at the scholarship dinner shared their advice with the award recipients on their next step in life.
Scholarship winners were Diante Griffin, Lima Senior, attending Ohio State University majoring in sports management; Nife Enis, Lima Central Catholic, attending Apollo majoring in nursing; Reed Doneghy, Lima Central Catholic, attending the University of Cincinnati majoring in cybersecurity engineering; Mariah Richardson, Shawnee, attending The Ohio State University, majoring in computer programming; Jamir Manley, Elida, attending Rhodes State College, majoring in cybersecurity; Jaylah Lewis, Perry, attending Ball State University, majoring in business administration; and Isaiah Russel, Lima Senior, attending Bowling Green State University, majoring in industrial management.
