Coldwater Community Picnic

There will be fireworks, a parade, rides, live music, 5K race, antique farm machinery, craft tent, cruise-in, sidewalk sales, horseshoe pitch, petting zoo, bird encounter, raffles, bingo and more at the Coldwater Community Picnic, Coldwater Mall, 103 Terrace Ave., Coldwater. Docksiders ‘Yacht Rock’ Band

7:30 p.m. Friday

Docksiders, known for playing ‘Yacht Rock’ (soft rock music from the 1970s and 1980s), will perform at Fountain Park in Van Wert. The group is made up of veteran musicians from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and includes three-time Grammy nominee Kevin Sucher. The event is part of Van Wert Live’s Feel Good Friday program and will feature concessions from Gibson’s Barnyard BBQ, CJ’s Shaved Ice, local craft beer from Second Crossing Brewery and others.

St. Marys Summerfest

6:30 p.m. Sunday through Sunday, Aug. 14

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 7, the Summerfest Queen Pageant will take place, followed by Little Miss Summerfest Pageant at 7 p.m., Aug. 10. Both pageants will be at the performing arts center at St. Marys Memorial High School, 2250 state Route 66, St. Marys.
