ST. MARYS — Two St. Marys men were arrested Wednesday at 4 p.m. after a routine traffic stop.
Joseph Hammond, 29, and Daniel Simonson,41, were stopped at Main Street and Oliver Street by Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office and St. Marys Police Department.
Simonson, the driver, was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence and possession of a drug abuse instrument. Hammond, passenger, was arrested fpr unspecified drug related charges.
Both were transported to the Auglaize County Correctional Facility.
The incident remains under investigation by the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, St. Marys Police Department and Auglaize/Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force.
