West Central Ohio Labor Council to host annual Labor Day parade

LIMA — The West Central Ohio-Central Labor Council will host its annual Labor Day Parade on Monday.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Organized Labor — Giving Workers a Voice, Giving Families a Better Life.”

David Smith, of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union Local 32, will be this year’s grand marshal. In place of trophies, cash prizes will be awarded in various parade categories, and will be given to the United Way program or a charity of the winner’s choice.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. on the corner of Robb Avenue and North Main Street and ends at the Town Square.
