Kalida Pioneer Days Parade theme announced

KALIDA — The theme for the 2016 Pioneer Days parade to be held in Kalida on Sept. 11 has been chosen. The theme is “Remember, Honor, Respect the day America Changed, 9/11.”

The idea for this year’s theme came from Jack Stechschulte, son of Craig and Teresa Stechschulte, and a student at Kalida Elementary School. Stechschulte received a four-day pass to ride the rides at this year’s festival as winner of the theme contest.

Pioneer Days, Ohio’s oldest festival, is held on the square and throughout the streets of Kalida, “always the weekend after Labor Day.” Visit http://pioneerdays.com for details on this year’s festival.
