LIMA – Shane Gilman goes through busy times and slow times during the dinner hour at Lima Sports Collectibles.

There’s no way of telling whether one night will be busy or slow. He typically works with at least one other employee, which usually is enough to handle the customers.

He sees a lot of repeat customers and generally has customers in and out during the hours people are getting off work and eating dinner.

Gilman sees a lot of the same people, from those who love collecting sports cards to other collectibles.

While he sells autographed jerseys, photos and posters, customers always have something special they are looking for, Gilman said.

“Higher end cards have been going really well,” he said.

Gilman also sees customers wanting to sell cards and card collections, he said.
