Lima woman rescues 2-year-old boy wandering the streets


LIMA — Police officials were crediting a resident with possibly preventing harm to a 2-year-old boy who she discovered walking in the street in the middle of the night.

Antoinette Goode, of Lima, was driving to pick up a relative from work when she came across the boy carrying a blanket. She tried to find out where he lived but was unable so she called police, Lima Police Department officials reported.

Officers found the boy’s home. The boy, somehow, manipulated the door handle to get outside. The family was very happy and thankful to Goode for helping to get the boy home safe, police officials reported.
