LIMA — On Monday, St. Rita’s Health Partners started offering a safer, faster way for patients to get a CT scan.
The Siemens Definition AS+ CT Scanner was installed and creates images of the inside of the body, according to a release from St. Rita’s.
The scanner reduces wait time, holds more weight, visualizes better details and offers “increased diagnostic confidence,” according to the release.
“This machine can scan the whole body in seconds and provide increasingly sharp 3D images of any organ. Patients will now have faster scans,” according to the release. “With four slices scanned per second, the new CT makes patient imaging quicker and more effective, reducing patient wait time for the care they need.”
