LIMA — Eastside residents will soon be able to zip through a 4 Seasons Express Car Wash, as the owners are opening a third location.
The second express wash owned by the Benroth family will be at 940 Bellefontaine Ave. and is slated to open in December, said Kyle Benroth, general manager, who owns the car wash with his brother Todd and father, Bruce.
“We really felt the eastside of town needed a good car wash,” Benroth said.
The family has owned the land since 2012, but started looking into opening the third 4 Seasons location in January.
“There’s a good traffic flow down through there,” Benroth said. “We wanted to be part of the city.”
The family opened “The Classic” 4 Seasons Car Wash at 1310 W. Robb Ave. in 2009 and then opened “The Express” location at 980 Eastown Road in 2014, Benroth said.
The new location will be very similar to the one on Eastown Road, he said.
They’ve broken ground on the new location already and torn down an existing building, formerly Koolers Bar.
The location will offer tire shine, hot wash shine, liquid fire, propane tank refills, purified drinking water and more.
The Bellefontaine Avenue location will employ about 10 people, which the Benroths plan to start hiring in November. The Eastown location also has 10 employees, and the Robb Avenue one has four.
The car wash will have the same hours as the other locations and be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
So far, Benroth’s customers have been excited about the new location.
“People are very excited,” he said. “They sometimes feel like the eastside gets left out. … They feel like they’re getting something wonderful over there.”
Benroth is excited about opening the new location.
“I enjoy people,” he said. “It’s neat to be growing, to be able to grow especially at a time when you’ve got big box stores.
“It’s nice to find a niche that works for us,” he added.
The other express location on Eastown gets cars off the lot in 3 minutes, Benroth said. That “convenience” sets them apart.
Customers will get “a good clean, dry car like no one else does in Lima,” he said. “It’s an excellent car wash.”
