LIMA — Two of Lima’s standout art groups will be hosting events in downtown Lima, making it the place to be this weekend.
Regardless of which event is more your speed, these two groups are working toward bringing entertainment to Lima.
“We like to bring people together and we want to show our community that things like this can happen right here in Lima,” said Josh Unterbrink, of Homies Productions. “They don’t have to drive to Columbus or Cincinnati or Detroit — we want to keep people here and we want to draw people here.”
Council for the Arts of Greater Lima — Speakeasy Soiree
This Roaring ’20s-themed event will include live era music from The Whirlybirds, complimentary appetizers and specialty prohibition cocktails. The location is top secret and will only be revealed once you have gotten your tickets in typical speakeasy fashion. Costumes are encouraged.
Legacy Arts District — Winter Fest
Legacy Arts and Homies Production are teaming up with ArtSpace/Lima to hold this get-out-of-your-winter-slump party featuring both local and regional talent. The event will include Columbus-based rock band Zoo Trippin’ as well as music by local acts Chad Warren, DJ Finkelstein and Midnight Intervention. The event will serve as a fundraiser for the newly established Legacy Arts - ArtSpace/Lima Scholarship Fund.
