Highlights: The Chinese-inspired dishes at Panda Express made their way onto the Lima list of eateries in December. They’ve already become a favorite for people looking for a quick bite. There are several vegetarian and options, as well as the unique tea bar.
2. 318 Restaurant & Bar
Location: 318 N. Main St., Lima
Hours: 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday
Highlights: The 318 opened in September and instantly built a clientele of people looking for upscale food in downtown Lima. You won’t want to miss the hamburgers — a custom blend of brisket, short rib and ground chuck, such as the 318 Burger, served with spicy peanut butter.

Highlights: Aldi made its debut on Lima’s east side in December. The newly designed store showed how the chain shifted from just being a no-frills grocer to a destination for fresh, organic products.
