LIMA — Fans of Dylan Scott were undoubtedly disappointed when rain canceled his appearance at the Hardin County Fair in September.
Coming up Thursday night, you’ll get a second chance to see him when he takes the stage at The Ohio Theatre in Lima.
The rising star is still riding high from his catchy “My Girl” that reached No. 1 on the country charts.”My Girl” was named by Billboard as the seventh most-played song on Country radio in 2017.
“We are excited to have a top 10 country artist here at the theater. That is amazing that we’re able to get him to come to Lima so definitely that is something that we’re looking forward to and bringing more to Lima,” said Kelly Sadler, co-owner of The Ohio Theatre.
Scott has a new hit on the charts, “Hooked,” that should be a fan favorite Thursday night.
“His last song ‘Hooked’ made it to No. 2 on the countdown and then he’s releasing some new music the first of the year. He’ll be releasing some new songs that will be out so we’re excited about that,” said Sadler.
The successes of “My Girl” combined with “Hooked” have made Scott the genre’s second most played new artist overall.
Tickets are still available for the show, but the meet and greet with Scott is sold out.
Opening acts for the concert Thursday night include Josh Milton who is originally from Findlay and now calls Nashville home and Logan Brill, an up and coming artist.
