ST. MARYS — Bring your chairs or blankets, your family and your cooler to Skip Baughman Stadium in St. Marys for the eighth annual Waynestock Christian concert.
“Looking at previous years, it may not be the biggest one that we’ve ever had, but it could be one of the most enjoyable shows from start to finish that we’ve had ever. I’m really looking forward to this year’s event because the bands that are there are really good interacting with the crowd and performing and that kind of stuff,” said Keith Jacobs, event organizer.
The bands playing include Young Escape, Ryan Stevenson, 7eventh Time Down and Citizen Way.
“Young Escape is a brand new group. They’re from Southern California and just signed a major record deal. They are a family band, very energetic. It’s going to be a fun kick off for us, and we’re really looking forward to them. Ryan Stevenson is next, he’s had three really big hits that you hear on a regular basis on Christian radio. He’s one of TobyMac’s proteges. The last two bands are bands that we’ve had before that are just incredible. 7eventh Time Down is a rock band kind of thing. They are from Kentucky. They will bring some really good music and good message. Citizen Way is our headliner. They just released a new album recently. Again, high energy, performers that give a tremendous message from the stage,” said Jacobs.
Concessions are available, or people can bring their own food and drinks.
