CELINA — Putting Celina on the map is the goal of the Celina Lake Festival committee during this weekend’s festival. Amphicars will be appearing at the Celina Lake Festival, as usual, and the committee is hoping to set a Guinness Book of World Records with the most amphibious cars at one event.

“We need 75 cars to hit it. We’re very, very close, so with that then we will be doing a photo on Saturday proving that we broke the record to Guinness Book of World Records. We will be putting Celina on the map on Saturday,” said Michelle Miller, co-chair of the Celina Lake Festival. “That’s huge for us and Celina. I’m pretty sure we’re going to hit it. Everybody is just excited about that.”

Other activities include fireworks, entertainment, concessions, a parade, car show, motorcycle show, craft show, cornhole tournament, kiddie tractor pull, kids fishing derby, COSI on Wheels and rides for the kids all weekend.
