LIMA — Downtown Lima will be bustling with holiday excitement Saturday.
“Its goal is to bring people downtown, to bring them into our stores and retailers; basically get that one-on-one interaction with the store owners and the people down here, realizing that our stores provide a level of service that you’re not going to find many places else,” said Aubree Kaye, executive director of Downtown Lima Inc.
There will be activities for the entire family.
“What they are doing, because this is more of an outreach every year, we bring people in and have activities for kids and families and friends. A great way to window shop with the kids and then come back the next time without the kids for Christmas shopping,” said Kaye.
Kaye likens the activity as a tour of downtown Lima.
”There will be breakfast with Santa at The Met that starts at 8:30 to 11 a.m. and then we’re having photos with Santa in the back room there and then we’ll be in the front window from 9 a.m. to 1 pm. There will be cookie decorating from the Old Barn Out Back at the Civic Center and then the Meeting Place will have the Shawnee Art Club, which they always do an activity. Alter Ego always has stuff as well as well as Kelly’s and Beauty by Jill,” said Kaye.
