VAN WERT — Niswonger Performing Arts Center brings the beloved holiday television classic “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” to the stage in a musical version.
The musical follows the traditional show that we’ve all grown to love and appreciate.
“Yes, it’s all the songs they know and then some. There’s actually been some added parts to the musical that will maybe surprise people and maybe add a little more humor even,” said Tafi Stober, marketing director.
The musical is part of Niswonger’s Impact Kids programming.
“But it’s also something that will appeal to every age. I forget what year this movie was made, but it’s become such an iconic classic. I think we’ve all been a misfit,” said Stober. “This is the second show of the Christmas season, which has been in really high demand.”
Families can make a night of it, as there is a buffet dinner available at Willow Bend Country Club. Mention the Rudolph show and receive $5 off the regular price. Be sure to visit the Christmas displays at the Van Wert Children’s Garden and the Van Wert County Fairgrounds afterward.
