Walking into a full group fitness class can be intimidating if you’ve never been to one before. Here’s a two tips to make the experience a positive one:
• Eat a small snack about an hour before class. Be safe and have something that will help control your blood sugar during your work out. Try something light, such as an apple, yogurt, or some popcorn.
• Arrive a few minutes early. This will give you time to pick a spot in class and set up any equipment you may need. If you’re not sure about equipment, feel free to ask someone in class or the instructor. If you find that you’re running more than 10 minutes behind, swap the class for cardio and try to make it next time. It’s not safe to jump into a workout after the warmup time has passed.
