FINDLAY — A modern day Rat Pack group known as Under the Streetlamp performs Sunday at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.
“Under the Streetlamp is a young, hip, modern day Rat Pack that performs classic hits from the American Radio Songbook with great style, slick dance moves and an abundance of charm. Performing Doo-Wop, Motown, old time rock and roll, music of The Drifters, Beach Boys, Beatles, The Four Seasons and others, these talented gents have developed an enthusiastic following that spans generations and stretches coast to coast,” Kathleen Stacy, marketing director at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts stated in an email.
Michael Ingersoll, Christopher Kale Jones, Brandon Wardell and Shonn Wiley are the singers in the group Under the Streetlamp. The performers met onstage as the lead characters in “Jersey Boys.”
“We think of ourselves as hosts to a party — and we’ve invited people of all ages,” says Ingersoll, a native of Dayton and graduate of Ohio’s Miami University. “They can sing along. They can dance in the aisles. We, of course, show respect for these great songs and we want everyone to leave the party smiling.”
