Call for entries for Wassenberg Art Center exhibit

VAN WERT — The Wassenberg Art Center is accepting wind-themed artwork in painting, drawing, photography and sculptural mediums for its upcoming exhibit, “Winds of Change.” Intake dates are Thursday, Friday and May 1 from 1-5 p.m. Please call for an alternative time. No entries will be accepted after May 1 at 5 p.m. There is an entry fee of $25. Artists may enter up to four pieces. The exhibit opens May 7 with a closing reception on May 27 from 6-9 p.m. All works meeting submission requirements will be judged for awards, including a first place award of $400. LCC seniors to perform ‘The Wizard of Oz’

LIMA — Tickets are available for the Lima Central Catholic High School Senior Class Play, “The Wizard of Oz,” at 7 p.m. April 15 and 16 at Encore Theatre, 991 N. Shore Drive. Seating is limited and all seats are reserved. Tickets are $10 and are available at the LCC Business Office, 720 S. Cable Road. Sign up for Allen County 4-H 5K Clover Run

LIMA — Allen County 4-H Junior Leaders are sponsoring their first 5K Clover Run at 9 a.m. April 16 at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Registration is $25 in advance and includes a T-shirt. Registration the day of the event is $20 without a shirt. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners and walkers, in a variety of age groups from 14 years to 70 years and up. Registration forms may be mailed in to: Allen County Junior Leader, C/O Blair Emerick, 1001 Bowman Road, Lima, OH 45804, or sign up online at www.alliancerunning.com. An informational booth on 4-H will be available. If interested there will be enrollment forms available to sign up as a 4-H member. Questions can be emailed to allencountyjuniorleaders@gmail.com.

Registrations open for Walk MS in Allen County

LIMA — Allen County Walk MS will be held at 9 a.m. April 9 at Veterans Memorial Civic Center, located at 7 Town Square. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. The walk will be held rain or shine. There will be a one-mile walk route as well as a three-mile walk route, both beginning and ending at the Civic Center. The walk is accessible to everyone including those with mobility challenges. A light breakfast will be served in the morning and pizza donated by Westgate Entertainment Center will be served after people have completed the walk.
