Bradford Community Center seeking participants
LIMA — The Bradfield Community Center is seeking girls in grades 7-12 who are interested in participating in the Miss Opportunity Pageant. Applications are available at the Bradfield Center, 550 S.Collett St. The pageant will be held on April 9 and is a rebirth of the Miss Opportunity Pageants that were a popular part of the Lima community in the ’70s, ’80s and early ’90s. Contestants will be judged on talent, modeling and an impromptu question. Each pageant rehearsal will incorporate personal development workshops for the participants and the young ladies will participate in a community service project. Mardi Gras theme for chamber banquet
ST MARYS — The St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Banquet March 10 at the St. Marys Eagles Basement, 404 E. Spring St. The evening will start with social hour from 5-6 p.m. followed by dinner, with keynote speaker Robin Elston on the power of positive thinking. A short awards ceremony will follow.
