ELIDA — Nolan V. Sherrick is celebrating his 90th birthday. A party was held Aug. 5 at Hermon Woodland Park with family and friends.
He was born Aug. 18, 1927, to Noah and Hulda Lippincott Sherrick. On June 19, 1949, he married Martha R. Myers.
He has three children, David (Cheryl) Sherrick, of Elida, Amy Sherrick, of Fresno, California, and Nancy (Rick) Hale, of Harrod. He has seven grandchildren and more than a dozen great-grandchildren.
He retired from BP Refinery and is affiliated with Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida. His passions are owning Hollow Log Gift Shop, painting the lawn concrete items, and also raising a big vegetable garden, canning the produce. He entered vegetables in the county fair and won ribbons this year. Past endeavors were farming, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Sherrick’s Television and Radio Service and many more activities.
