BLUFFTON — Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bowerman are celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Bowerman and the former Jane Watt were married Aug. 21, 1970, at the St. Gerard Catholic Church Grotto, Lima, by the Rev. Raymond Boesch.
They are the parents of four children, Damian (Marlene), of Columbus, Justin (Paula), of Findlay, Anna (Travis Howard), of Bluffton, and James (Darina), of Boca Raton, Florida. They have seven grandchildren.
Bowerman taught science at Donnell Findlay, University of Findlay and St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria. He has also worked at France Stone Co., was the first naturalist for the Hancock Park District and was a naturalist for the State of Ohio. His wife taught math at Flint, Michigan, math and science at North Baltimore, K-8 at Carden Basic Findlay and Findlay Alternative School, and was the gifted and intervention specialist at St. Wendelin K-12 in Fostoria. They both taught 46 years.
