WAPAKONETA — Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lee Ellis are celebrating 60 years of marriage. An anniversary dinner with family and friends is planned.
Ellis and the former Phyllis Dotson were married May 12, 1959, at Interdenominational Church, Ransom, Ky., by the Rev. James T. Dotson, the bride’ uncle and elementary school principal.
They are the parents of two children, Dwayne Thomas “Tom” Ellis and Gregory Lee Ellis. They have four grandchildren an nine great-grandchildren.
Ellis retired from Teledyne Ohio Steel as a power plant engineer and now pastors a Christian Faith Baptist Church, Sidney. His wife is a retired elementary school teacher from Wapakoneta schools and spent her first seven years teaching at Lima’s Roosevelt and Lowell elementary schools.
