LENOIR CITY, Tennessee — Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Gladfelter are celebrating 50 years of marriage. A surprise party was held.
Gladfelter and the former Elaine LaRue were married Dec. 10, 1967, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elida, by the Rev. James D. Kuhn.
They are the parents of two children, Jodi (Dan) Skrovan, of Dayton, and Amy (John) Parker, of Knoxville, Tennessee. They have three grandchildren.
Gladfelter is retired from finance and banking. He worked for First Baptist Concord Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, prior to retirement and Fifth Third Bank in Wapakoneta and Piqua, Wapakoneta Machine Company, and Huntington Bank in Lima prior to moving to Tennessee. His wife is a floral designer. She has a vendor booth at Homespun in Knoxville, Tennessee and worked with her parents at LaRue’s Flowers and Greenhouse in Elida and Haehn Florist in Wapakoneta prior to moving to Tennessee.
