WAPAKONETA — Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burkard celebrated 65 years of marriage with a private reception with family.
Burkard and the former Betty Tangeman were married July 14, 1957, at St. Peter’s Church by the Rev. Herbert Baur in New Bremen.
They are the parents of six children, Brad (Jill) Burkard, Brenda Halker and Barbara Burkard, all of Wapakoneta; Bruce (Sherri) Burkard, of St. Louis; Beth (Eric) Knoch, of Cincinnati and Brian (Stacie) Burkard, of New Bremen. they have 13 grandchildren and 17 grandchildren.
Burkard retired as an agent with Nationwide Insurance.
His wife is a homemaker and helped with Nationwide Insurance in the office.
