There will be a Blessing of Animals at noon Oct. 1 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church at 5050 St. Matthews Drive in Cridersville.
The public is invited to bring any pets to the drive-thru event in commemoration of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and ecology.
