Lima City Schools offering summer lunches and weekend meals

LIMA — The Lima City Schools will be providing free lunches for children, ages one up to 18, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the following locations:

Heritage Elementary School, 816 College Ave., Lima

Independence Elementary School, 615 Tremont, Lima

Liberty Arts Magnet Schools, 338 W. Kibby St., Lima

South Science and Technology Magnet School, 755 St. Johns Ave., Lima

Unity Elementary School, 925 E. Third St., Lima

The free lunches run from June 12 through August 3. There will be no meals Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The sites will be closed July 3 and July 4.

Weekend meals are available with an application. Applications will be available on site when the summer meals begin. Weekend bagged meals will contain breakfast, lunch and dinner for two weekend days and two eight-ounce shelf-stable milks that will be taken home.
