University of Findlay to unveil ‘The Evolution of Medicine’ mural

FINDLAY — A public mural unveiling will take place at 10 a.m. Friday in the Davis Street Building hallway between the main lobby and College of Pharmacy lobby at the University of Findlay.

Titled “The Evolution of Medicine,” two pharmacy students designed and painted the mural.

The mural incorporates images ranging from plants to pills. The story begins on the wall’s east end, by the smaller lobby near the College of Pharmacy’s offices. A rain forest represents plants and fungi used to treat ailments in antiquity. There is also a panel representing Ancient Greece, with the Goddess of Health, Hygeia, and hieroglyphics that will spell out “University of Findlay College of Pharmacy.”
