HARDIN COUNTY -- A Logan County woman was injured following a crash in Hardin County on Sunday evening.
Troopers from the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 68 north of county Road 200 in Taylor Creek Township.
According to troopers, Betty J. Evans, 63, of Belle Center, was driving a 1995 Honda Accord south on U.S. 68. Witnesses told troopers it appeared Evans was having difficulty maintaining her lane of travel. The Civic went left of center and struck a northbound 2006 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by Jeffery S. Rupert, 47, of Flatwoods, Ky.
The collision disabled the tractor-trailer in the middle of the road. The Civic drove off the left side of the road into a ditch.
Troopers said Evans was taken to The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. Rupert was not injured.
