Phyllis J. Laffey, 75, of Sandusky, formerly of Lima, died April 13, 2010, at the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
She was born Dec. 17, 1934, in Lima to Gail and Ella Stith Shine, who preceded her in death. Her husband of 38 years, Lewis Laffey, survives.
Mrs. Laffey was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. She had been an operation manager for Wells Fargo Bank in California for several years. She was a volunteer for the Erie County Senior Center, where she played cards and bingo. She loved her pets and the water.
Survivors also include two children, Pam Painter, of California, and John (Becky) Laffey, of Texas; a granddaughter, Starla Prem Blossom, of California; a brother, Jack (Jenny) Shine, of Lima; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Laffey; and a sister, Virginia.
Private family services will be held at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky.
