BlufftonHarley D. Augsburger, 91, died at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 9, 2011, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.He was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Bluffton to Walter and Leona Burkholder Augsburger, who preceded him in death. He was married to Estelle Bogart, who preceded him in death in 1953. On May 29, 1954, he married Glenna Mae Reiter, who died Sept. 13, 2006.Mr. Augsburger had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton, for 30 years. He was a member of First Missionary Church, Bluffton. He enjoyed watching football. He was a graduate of Bluffton High School.Survivors include two sons, Dean (Judy) Augsburger and Bruce (Keith Johnston) Augsburger, both of Bluffton; a daughter, Linda (John) Waisanen, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, LaVaun Altman, of Findlay, and Josephine Burkholder, of Bluffton.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade and Glenn Augsburger; four sisters, Grace Taylor, Colleen Seyer and Barbara and Gladys Augsburger; and a granddaughter and a great-grandson.Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. The Rev. Gary Marks will officiate.
