LimaEdmond L. Orchard, 95, died at 8:40 p.m. Dec. 13, 2011, at Birchaven Nursing Home, Findlay.He was born June 7, 1916, in Lima to Arthur and Emma Shaner Orchard, who preceded him in death. On May 22, 1937, he married Helen L. Dardio, who died March 11, 2009.Mr. Orchard was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. He had been a gauge inspector at Westinghouse Electric Corp., for 43 years.Survivors include a daughter, Beverly (James) Essman, of Risingsun; a brother, Arthur (Valaire) Orchard, of Lima; a sister, Ruth Grady, of Elida; seven grandchildren, Mike (Terri) Wallen, of Plain City, Patrick Wallen, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Kimberly Shepard, of Ashland, Kathy Wallen, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jennifer Wineland, of Rossford, Jay (Kammie) Orchard, of Findlay, and Larry (Debbie) Long, of Perrysburg; and 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Orchard, who died in 1994; a sister, Marjorie Kistner; and a brother, Russell Orchard.Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Tim Benjamin will officiate.
