River could flood near Fort Jennings

FORT JENNINGSThe National Weather Service in Northern Indiana issued a flood warning for the Auglaize River near Fort Jennings, affecting Allen, Paulding and Putnam counties.Recent heavy rainfall combined with saturated ground could cause minor flooding there until Thursday morning.The river was 0.06 inches below the flood level of 13 feet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. It was expected to crest at 13.1 feet at 1 a.m. today and drop below flood level by 1 p.m. Thirteen feet is minor flood stage.At 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Blanchard River in Ottawa was 0.38 inches over the minor flooding stage of 23 feet. It is expected to crest at 23.9 feet at 1 p.m. today and drop below 23 feet by 7 p.m. Thursday. Major routes in Ottawa are safe up to 25 feet.
