LimaCharles Wilbur Swineford, 83, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Lima, died peacefully April 28, 2011, at Vitas Hospice, Naples, Fla., surrounded by his family.He was born to Curtis and Marie Swineford, who preceded him in death. His loving wife of 41 years, Dona Jane Swineford, survives.Mr. Swineford was a graduate of Bowling Green University. He spent his entire career working for the YMCA in Lima, Detroit, New York City, Phoenix and Las Vegas. He met many lifelong friends along the way. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a role model of love, devoted to friends and family, touching the lives of many people with his smile, generosity and trademark sense of humor. He cherished his daughters and treasured his grandchildren.Survivors also include three daughters, Lynne (Dale) Orphan, Dianne Liese and Janis Sollenbargar; a sister, Pat (Jud) Ellertson; four grandchildren, Scott, Kirstin, Brittany and Taylor; a daughter-in-law, Anna-Marie; a sister-in-law, Dana Jean Marshall and family; two loving nieces and a loving nephew, Laurey, Sally and Chris; and his beloved poodle, Lucy.He was preceded in death by a son, Tom; and a daughter, Pam.Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. May 14 at Community Congregational Church, Naples, Fla.Memorial contributions may be made to your local YMCA; or Vitas Hospice Care, 8300 Collier Blvd., Naples FL 34114.Arrangements are by Fuller Funeral Homes, Naples, Fla.
